LiteBlue Not Working? Login Troubleshooting Checklist

When LiteBlue does not load or sign-in fails, isolate whether the problem is the URL, browser, password, MFA method, account state or a temporary service issue.

Reviewed 2026-10-03 • Primary sources: USPS public materials
Account security: Enter Employee ID, password, MFA codes, banking changes and other sensitive account information only inside the official LiteBlue USPS.gov portal.

Confirm the URL first

Type liteblue.usps.gov directly. Do not troubleshoot credentials on a look-alike domain.

Try a clean browser session

Close duplicate LiteBlue tabs, reopen a current browser, and retry in a private/incognito window if cookies or stale sessions may be causing a loop.

Separate password from MFA problems

If the password step succeeds but verification fails, use the current MFA reset path instead of repeatedly changing the password.

Escalate with the right details

For persistent access problems, use USPS technical support and describe the error message and device/browser without sharing your password or MFA code.

Frequently asked questions

Why does LiteBlue keep sending me back to sign in?

A stale session, cookie issue or authentication problem can cause a loop. Try a fresh browser session, then use USPS support if it persists.

What if I lost my MFA phone?

Use the Self-Service MFA Reset option on the official LiteBlue login screen.
