LiteBlue MFA Reset: Self-Service Recovery Steps (2026)

USPS added a self-service MFA reset flow in late 2025. The reset begins from the official LiteBlue login screen and includes manager approval before a new method can be configured.

Account security: Enter Employee ID, password, MFA codes, banking changes and other sensitive account information only inside the official LiteBlue USPS.gov portal.

Self-Service MFA Reset process

On the official LiteBlue login screen, select Self-Service MFA Reset and submit the request. USPS says the employee’s manager receives an approval email.

Manager approval window

The Postal Bulletin says the manager approval must occur within 10 minutes. After approval, the employee receives a confirmation email with a link to set up MFA methods.

If the self-service reset fails

USPS directs employees with problems to the IT Service Desk at 800-877-7435, option 2 for technical assistance, and to say “LiteBlue” when prompted.

Security check

Start the reset from liteblue.usps.gov yourself. Do not use a reset link sent by an unexpected caller, text or email asking for credentials.
